TThe TileTracker didn’t stop there, it continued to innovate and still is today with new tooling. The UNIPLUG was unique and originally came about to meet British Standards with uniform grouting depth.

The old clear tile spacers were an issue to work with, they are small and hard to handle, break easily and the waste with them is considerable. The worst issue with them, was getting them out from in between tiles.  Removing them most of the time broke them, if you could get them out at all.

In a lot of jobs in the past before the law came in to effect, in some cases were visible in the grout line or secondly were knocked through behind the tile which is a fire risk.

The UNIPLUG approached all of these issues in one go with the original design leaving no waste and a completely re-usable product.

However the innovation did not stop there and went further to support the grout line around the corner as well.  This was achieved simply by removing a double tile depth from two sides simultaneously which is what we have today.

The UNIPLUG spacers are available in three different sizes of 2 mm, 3mm and 4mm to provide for the required grout line chosen.  They each are also available in packs of 50, 100 and 150 (Tubs), to buy the number you need to get the job done.

TThe J-Hook tool was a late arrival in the TileTracker tooling set and ended up being one of the most useful tools we had come up with.  As can be seen on the picture on the right, it even came in handy as another tool for individuals who needed to get the material out from hole saw cutter drill its.

But this was actually not its intended purpose as you may have guessed. The J-Hook came about from putting too much pressure on tiles and them dropping back further than required.

When you have laid a course of tiles next to each other, usually that one needs to be taken out and re-laid. With the J-Hook, which is smaller in diameter than the 2 mm spacers, allows you to drop it in the grout line and pull the tile back out.  You do this by simply rotating the tool 90 degrees so it grips the back of the tile which needs to be pulled back forward in the required area.
